Y Morfa is a ground with very good facilities for this level of football, so much so it is has been chosen to host cup finals, and with Conwy having featured in the Welsh Premier League in it’s early years, you can see that this ground would not look out of place at the top level.
On entering the ground you will find yourself behind the goals which feature the clubhouse, known as Y Morfa Venue, which as clubhouses go, looks one of the better in Welsh domestic football.
Also behind the goals is a snack bar serving hot and cold snacks and drinks, I believe some of the food available is from the highly rated Edwards of Conwy butchers, although I have not had any food here as yet myself.
Moving around the ground you have a covered seated stand down one side which sits on the halfway line and has no supporting pillars. Either side of this stand is some good sized open terracing.
On the opposite side of the ground are some unique two tiered dugouts on the halfway line, with an area of covered hard standing on one side and uncovered hard standing on the other.
Finally, behind the other goal is a large stand, again with no supporting pillars, which runs the entire width of the pitch. This stand consists mostly of seats, with a small area of terracing in the centre. Despite being one of the more impressive stands in the league, it appears closed off most of the time, and I’m not entirely sure why this is the case.
